'If Israel falls, we fall': Fate of West tied to Israel

Former French Prime Minister Manuel Valls told The Jerusalem Post that Israel’s fate is inseparable from that of the West, arguing that the struggle against Islamism, Iran’s clerical regime, and its ties with Russia is being decided in Israel.

Axar.az, citing JP, reports that speaking during a visit to Jerusalem, Valls stressed that supporting Israel is essential for the security and future of France and Europe.

A long-time supporter of Israel from the political Left, Valls said modern antisemitism is inseparable from hostility toward Israel and warned that many French leaders misunderstand its current form.
