At least 15 killed in wildfires in southern Chile

At least 15 people have died in wildfires in southern Chile.

Axar.az reports that Public Security Minister Luis Cordero said this in an interview with Radio BioBio.

The fires caused the most damage in the Biobío region, where 14 people were killed. One more person died in the Ñuble region.

Chile’s Interior Minister Álvaro Elizalde announced at a press conference that a state of emergency has been declared in both regions.
