Swiss court releases Crans-Montana bar owner on bail

A Swiss court has ruled to release the owner of a bar at the Crans-Montana resort, where 40 people were killed in a fire on January 1, on bail of 200,000 Swiss francs ($254,000).

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a court announcement.

The bar owner is banned from leaving the country. All of his documents have been handed over to the prosecutor’s office, and he is required to report daily to a police station for monitoring.

It should be noted that on the night of January 1, a fire broke out at the Le Constellation bar in the famous ski resort of Crans-Montana in central Switzerland. As a result, 40 people were killed and 116 others were injured.
