Armenia bans journalist Seleznyov over security concerns

Armenia’s National Security Service has sent an official response to the VarGonzo editorial office explaining the reasons for banning journalist Dmitry Seleznyov from entering Yerevan.

Axar.az reports that the NSS statement says Seleznyov’s activities were assessed as a threat to Armenia’s national security, constitutional order, defense capability, and public order.

On these grounds, the journalist was denied entry into the country.

It was noted that Dmitry Seleznyov had previously made several illegal visits to Karabakh and worked as a military correspondent during the 2020 war.
