Azerbaijani fighter known as Sakha dies in Ukraine -

Saleh Ismayilov, an ethnic Azerbaijani who fought in the war in Ukraine and was known by the callsign “Sakha,” has died.

Axar.az reports that the news was shared by military blogger Tofig Shahmuradov.

According to him, Ismayilov was seriously wounded during the war and later diagnosed with cancer, which led to his death.

“Although he was an Azerbaijani citizen, Saleh Ismayilov volunteered to defend Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale war. Serving in the Ukrainian armed forces, he fought in almost all major combat zones.

He was a true warrior. In Ukraine, Sakha became a symbol of honor, courage, and heroism,” Shahmuradov said.
