Russia summons Finnish ambassador over flag burning

Finland’s Ambassador to Russia, Marja Liivala, has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where she was presented with a formal protest over the recent burning of the Russian flag outside the Russian embassy in Helsinki.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that the information was released by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“A firm protest was conveyed to the head of Finland’s diplomatic mission regarding a provocation that occurred on February 24 in front of the Russian embassy in Finland, during which unidentified individuals set fire to the state flag of the Russian Federation,” the statement said.
