Amid Murtuzov held Azerbaijani and Israeli citizenship

Amid Murtuzov, who was killed in the missile attack on Israel on March 9, held both Azerbaijani and Israeli citizenship.

Axar.az reports the information was released by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Israel.

The embassy said the incident occurred at a construction site in the city of Yehud. Murtuzov was a resident of Petah Tikva.

“Amid Murtuzov migrated to Israel with his family years ago and had been living there for a long time,” the statement said.

“We extend our condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased and wish them patience during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.”

Earlier, two Azerbaijanis — Amid Murtuzov and Rustam Gulomov — were reported killed in a missile attack launched by Iran against Israel.
