Erdogan, Zelensky hold phone call on Iran and Ukraine

A phone call took place between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian President Zelensky shared the update on his official Telegram channel.

During the call, Zelensky said he discussed the situation surrounding Iran with his Turkish counterpart, as well as support for Ukraine’s air defense systems and energy sector.

“We discussed the situation around Iran with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. We are ready to share our expertise to prevent the war from spreading and to protect lives, but at the same time, Ukraine needs to strengthen its air defense systems, and we are counting on appropriate support from our partners."

According to Zelensky, Erdogan noted that Turkiye is ready to host the next phase of negotiations in a trilateral format.
