Russians urged to refrain from traveling to Germany

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has once again recommended that Russian citizens avoid traveling to Germany unless absolutely necessary.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, according to the ministry’s spokesperson, Mariya Zakharova, Germany has created an extremely hostile environment where any actions by authorities are aimed at discriminating against Russians and Russian-speaking compatriots.

“Everything indicates that the current German authorities deliberately continue to treat nearly every Russian citizen with suspicion, foster an atmosphere of distrust and toxicity around Russians, harass Russian-speaking individuals, and impose absolute lawlessness and arbitrariness against them,” the diplomat said.

Zakharova detailed the methods of pressure, noting that customs authorities, under the pretext of EU sanctions, confiscate personal belongings, clothing, and cash from Russian citizens, then issue hefty fines. In addition, Russians face significant difficulties with banking services.
