Fires controlled at South Pars gas field after strikes

The governor of Asaluyeh city in Bushehr, Iran, reported that the attack by the U.S. and Israeli forces on South Pars gas facilities caused fires at several refinery phases.

Axar.az reports, citing Tasnim, the head of Asaluyeh city announced that firefighting operations were carried out with the involvement of South Pars firefighters and the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) teams.

“Thanks to the efforts of emergency and industrial personnel, the fire was brought under control in the shortest possible time, and the situation in the area is now fully managed,” he said.

The remaining flames and smoke are related to gas still in the pipelines, which will extinguish automatically once the gas is completely released.
