Qatar says helicopter crashes after ‘technical malfunction’

A Qatari helicopter crashed into the country’s territorial waters after experiencing a technical malfunction during a routine mission.

Axar.az informs in a statement, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said specialised teams are currently conducting search and rescue operations within the country’s territorial waters.

“A Qatari helicopter had a technical malfunction during a routine duty, which led to its crash in the regional waters of the State,” Qatar’s defense ministry said in a statement posted to X. “Searching operation for its crew members and passengers is in progress.”
