Iran halts gas exports to Turkiye

Iran has halted natural gas exports to Turkiye following an Israeli strike on the South Pars gas field last week, Bloomberg reported.

Axar.az informs the report said Ankara continues to import gas from its main suppliers, Russia and Azerbaijan, and can draw on stored reserves.

Bloomberg noted that Turkiye sourced about 14% of its gas from Iran last year, but it is unclear how long the suspension of Iranian supplies will last.
