Israel says IRGC Navy intelligence chief killed

The Israeli Defense Forces have announced that, in addition to Alireza Tangsiri, Behnam Rezai, head of intelligence of the Naval Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has been killed.

Axar.az reports according to Israeli media, Tangsiri served as the IRGC Navy chief for the past eight years.

The military said that “over the years, Tangsiri was responsible for attacks on oil tankers and commercial vessels and personally threatened the freedom of navigation and trade in the Strait of Hormuz and the international maritime domain.”
