IRGC issues warning over western academic institutions

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a statement indicating that certain American and Israeli universities in the West Asia region may be considered potential targets.

Axar.az reports, citing IRGC Telegram channel, the statement frames this as a response to recent attacks on the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Tehran and the Isfahan University of Technology.

The IRGC advised students, faculty, and nearby residents to maintain a distance of at least one kilometer from these campuses to ensure safety.

The statement also set a deadline of 12:00 PM Tehran time on Tuesday, March 30, for the United States to formally condemn the strikes on Iranian universities. Failure to do so, according to the IRGC, could result in retaliatory actions.

No immediate response from the United States or Israel has been reported regarding the warning.
