North Korea has reportedly unveiled its next-generation main battle tank, the Chonma-2—also known as the M2024 or Chonma-20—featuring an advanced Active Protection System (APS) designed to intercept anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) and suicide drones.

Axar.az reports, according to state media outlets KCTV and KCNA, the system successfully countered all simulated threats during a series of tests conducted by the Armored Weapons Institute.

The trials were overseen by leader Kim Jong Un, who described the tank as “the world’s most powerful” and highlighted its capability to operate in modern, drone-centric warfare environments.
