French authorities stopped an apparent bomb attack outside a Bank of America building in Paris.

Axar.az reports that a man was arrested just after placing a homemade device containing fuel and an ignition system, with the ignition component reportedly holding 650 grams of explosive powder.

French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez praised the police response, saying: “Well done to the rapid response team… whose actions thwarted a violent terrorist attack in Paris last night. Vigilance remains at a higher level than ever.”

The counter-terrorism prosecutor’s office confirmed it launched an investigation into “attempted damage by fire or other dangerous means in connection with a terrorist undertaking” and a “terrorist criminal conspiracy”.
