Truck from UAE to Armenia comes under fire in Iran

A heavy-tonnage container truck transporting a hydraulic lifting platform from the United Arab Emirates to Armenia came under fire in Iran.

Axar.az reports, citing Sputnik Armenia, the incident occurred several days ago, about 500 kilometers from the Norduz checkpoint on the Iran–Armenia border.

The driver, an Iranian citizen, was not present when the shell struck, as the truck had been parked, preventing any casualties.

The damaged and burned container was delivered to Yerevan a day earlier, where an assessment of the damage is currently underway.

A source in a logistics company noted that this was the first such incident, but did not rule out the possibility of similar cases occurring again.
