Iranian forces shot down drone over Shiraz - Photo

An unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) was shot down over the Iranian cities of Shiraz.

Axar.az reports that Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei wrote on X, sharing photos of the downed drone.

“The wreckage of this drone may serve as new evidence of the direct involvement and active complicity of certain regional countries in acts of aggression and other crimes committed by the Israeli and U.S. regimes against the Iranian people," Baghaei wrote.

"Each of the two regional countries considered to possess and operate this type of drone must provide an explanation regarding this matter,” he added.

While the drone was initially thought to be an American MQ-9, experts have noted that it is actually a Wing Loong 2, which is operated by two Gulf countries.

Baghaei did not reveal the names of the two states.
