A wheat-carrying ship sank in the Sea of Azov off the coast of Kherson Oblast, leaving one dead and two missing.
Axar.az reports, citing UNN, the incident was reported by Volodymyr Saldo, the governor of Kherson.
"The Volgo-Balt-class vessel carrying wheat sank. Nine crew members, all Russian citizens, were found on shore. One person, born in 1991—the senior assistant captain—died. The whereabouts of two other crew members remain unknown," Saldo said.
He added that the crew abandoned the ship and reached the shore themselves.
"The circumstances of the incident are under investigation, and investigative measures are ongoing," he noted.
The crew members rescued on shore are receiving medical and psychological assistance.
