Russian commander dies in Crimea An-26 crash

On March 31, as a result of a crash involving an An-26 aircraft in Crimea, Lieutenant General Aleksandr Otroshenko, commander of the 45th Army of Russia's Northern Fleet and the Air Defense Forces, also died.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Andrey Chibis, governor of the Murmansk region.

“Last week, a tragedy occurred: personnel of the Northern Fleet were involved in a plane crash in Crimea. Unfortunately, among them was the commander of naval aviation, Aleksandr Ivanovich Otroshenko,” Chibis said.

It should be noted that 29 people died in the crash of the An-26 aircraft belonging to the Russian Ministry of Defense in Crimea.
