Iran warns against military transit in Hormuz Strait

Any attempt by military vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz will be met with a firm response.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a statement issued by the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on its Telegram channel.

The statement said that the IRGC Navy maintains full control over the Strait of Hormuz and conducts what it described as “smart management” of the waterway.

It added that passage is permitted only for civilian vessels and under specific regulations.

The IRGC also denied reports regarding the passage of American vessels through the strait, saying that any attempt by military ships to pass would be met with a firm and decisive response.
