Simonyan plans key meeting with Gafarova in Istanbul

Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan will take part in the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which will be held in Istanbul.

Axar.az repоrts that Simonyan made the statement during a briefing at the Armenian parliament.

He noted that he is planning a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Sahiba Gafarova, as well as with Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, on the sidelines of the event.

“Many parliamentary speakers from various countries will participate. Meetings with Azerbaijani and Georgian counterparts are currently being planned,” he said.
