Kilicdaroglu sentenced over insult case in Turkiye

Former Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu has been sentenced to prison over remarks he made about President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Axar.az informs that the court ruled Kilicdaroglu was found guilty of “insulting the President” and sentenced him to 11 months and 20 days in prison.

His lawyer, Celal Chelik, said that they do not accept the decision and described it as a “political ruling.”
