White House confirms Vance will join Iran talks in Pakistan

U.S. Vice President JD Vance will attend the next round of Iran talks in Pakistan alongside special envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential adviser Jared Kushner.

Axar.az reports, citing CNN, the announcement comes amid conflicting statements from President Donald Trump, who earlier denied that Vance would take part in the latest round of negotiations.

The White House told CNN that “things changed,” without providing further details.

The confusion follows earlier reporting that Secret Service protocols discourage the president and vice president from travelling to the same region at the same time due to security risks.

The upcoming talks come a week after a previous round in Pakistan involving Vance, Witkoff and Kushner ended without an agreement.
