US Air Force jet sends emergency signal over Turkiye

A U.S. Air Force aircraft reportedly issued an emergency signal while flying through Turkish airspace early this morning.

Axar.az reports, citing data from Flightradar24, that at 08:51 Baku time, the aircraft with the callsign “RCH525” transmitted a “7700” squawk code, which indicates a general emergency.

According to flight tracking data, the aircraft took off from the United Arab Emirates and landed at Incirlik Air Base in Turkiye.

The reason for the emergency signal is currently unknown.
