Ukraine says it struck Russian ships and jet in Crimea

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) says it has struck several Russian military targets in occupied Crimea, including three combat ships, a fighter jet, and air defense facilities.

Axar.az reports, citing RBC-Ukraine, the SBU’s Alpha special unit carried out a large-scale overnight drone operation targeting a Russian naval base in Sevastopol and the Belbek military airfield.

The SBU stated that the strikes damaged the large landing ships Yamal and Filchenkov, the reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs, a MiG-31 aircraft at Belbek airfield, as well as technical and maintenance facilities.

Other reported targets included the Lukomka training center of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the headquarters of a radio-technical intelligence unit, and the Mys-M1 radar station.

SBU officials said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to systematically weaken Russia’s military infrastructure, disrupt battlefield control, and limit its operational capabilities.

The report also noted that Ukrainian drone strikes have recently targeted additional facilities in Russia and occupied territories, including oil infrastructure and military positions.
