4 dead, 15 injured in bus crash in Turkiye's Malatya

A passenger bus has overturned into a roadside ravine in the Dogansehir district of Turkiye’s Malatya province.

Axar.az reports, citing Anadolu, four people were killed and 15 others injured in the accident that occurred in the Polatdere area on the Malatya–Adiyaman highway.

The bus, belonging to Mus Yolu Turizm and carrying 44 passengers, veered off the road and overturned into a ditch for reasons that are still under investigation.

Police, gendarmerie, medical teams, AFAD, and fire brigade units were dispatched to the scene.

Malatya Governor Seddar Yavuz stated that rescue operations have been completed and all injured passengers have been transferred to medical facilities, with some reported to be in serious condition.

He added that the cause of the accident is under investigation, including the examination of nearby security camera footage.
