Axar.az reports, citing IRIB, that the fire erupted at the commercial facility, prompting an emergency response.

A fire in a shopping center near Iran’s capital killed eleven people and injured 41.

The fire started Tuesday at the Arghavan commercial complex in Shahriar, Tehran province.

The cause of the fire has not been announced, but Iranian media reported that the Shahriar prosecutor had ordered the identification and arrest of those responsible, as well as the detention of the building’s developer.

It is said that the complex contained more than 250 commercial units, including several sports clubs and 50 office spaces.
