Ukraine’s population falls below 25 million

Ukraine’s population has dropped to below 25 million.

Axar.az reports that Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Uliutin Denys made a statement on X.

He said that this figure applies to the territory controlled by Kyiv and compared it to 48 million in the 2001 nationwide census.

He also noted that only about two million Ukrainians are expected to return after the war ends.

Uliutin stated that 13 million Ukrainians, both inside and outside government-controlled territory, are entitled to various social benefits and called for reducing such payments.
