An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has crashed into a residential area in the Black Sea coastal city of Samsun, Turkiye, causing damage to multiple homes.

Axar.az reports that the incident occurred in the Kazim Karabekir neighborhood of the İlkadım district at around 6:30 a.m.

At least three houses were damaged in the incident, with roof structures and windows affected. The impact also caused brief panic among residents, who initially believed the explosion-like sound was a natural gas blast.

No injuries were reported.

The UAV, estimated to weigh around 25 kilograms with a wingspan of approximately one meter, is believed to be a small fixed-wing reconnaissance drone. It is currently being examined by technical specialists.
