Meloni postpones Cyprus visit after Modena incident

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has postponed her planned visit to Cyprus and returned urgently to Italy following an incident in the city of Modena, where a car struck pedestrians.

Axar.az reports, citing the Cyprus Mail, at least eight people were injured in the incident, four of them seriously.

It is also noted that Meloni is expected to travel to Modena together with Italian President Sergio Mattarella to visit the injured and express solidarity with their families and the local community.

It should be noted that a 31-year-old man drove a car into a group of pedestrians in Modena.
