Ukraine has unveiled its new strike UAV, “Begemot”.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, the drone—described as a domestic analogue of Iran’s “Shahed” UAV—is designed to strike targets at long range and has already been introduced into combat use.

The UAV has a flight range of up to 300 km and is equipped with a 75 kg warhead. It is also reported to feature a tandem payload combining a shaped charge with a thermobaric munition.

The “Begemot” can fly at low altitude, making it more difficult for air defense systems to detect and intercept.

It is capable of operating both in FPV mode under operator control and autonomously. Communication and control are conducted via the “Starlink” system.

In addition to the base version, a “Begemot-deepstrike” variant has also been developed for deeper-range strike missions.
