Zelensky signs new EU-linked sanctions package

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed decrees imposing new sanctions under the EU’s 20th sanctions package.

Axar.az reports that the information was published on the official website of the presidency.

The decision concerns an additional 16 Russian citizens and 31 companies from Russia, Belarus, the UAE, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

Among the individuals are executives of Russian strategic enterprises, public institutions, and units of the Russian army, as well as persons serving Russia in our temporarily occupied territories.

The list also includes enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex, manufacturers of electronic warfare systems, drone software and components, as well as oil, gas, and gold extraction companies.

Sanctions restrictions have also been applied to 19 Iranian nationals, 7 Sudanese nationals, and 11 Iranian companies involved in Iran’s ballistic missile and drone production programs.
