Israel deepens operations in southern Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israeli forces have captured the Beaufort outpost in southern Lebanon and will expand military operations in the area.

Axar.az reports, in a statement released by his office, Netanyahu stated that “Tonight our heroic fighters captured the Beaufort outpost. They proudly raised the flag of the State of Israel and the Golani Brigade flag."

He added that Israel has intensified its campaign against Hezbollah, claiming thousands of militants have been killed since the start of the war and hundreds more in recent months.

“We have broken the barrier of fear. We are taking initiative across all fronts—Syria, Gaza, and Lebanon,” he said, adding that Israeli forces had crossed the Litani River and seized strategic positions.

Netanyahu stated that the operation will continue: “It will take time, but we will complete the mission and restore security to the residents of the north.”
