Ukraine targets Russian oil and military sites

Ukrainian forces carried out a series of long-range strikes against military and energy infrastructure targets inside Russia, including a refinery in Saratov.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukrainian “long-range sanctions” targeted the Saratov oil refinery, located roughly 700 kilometers from the front line, as well as additional sites in several Russian regions.

"Our Defense Forces of Ukraine are carrying out long-range tasks in line with the approved priorities of this sanctions plan. A significant result. Thank you!" Volodymyr Zelensky said.

According to his statement, strikes were also carried out in Russia’s Rostov, Kirov, Yaroslavl, Ryazan, Voronezh, Volgograd, Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, and Krasnodar regions, with targets located between 300 and 1,200 kilometers from Ukraine’s border.

Ukrainian officials said the operations focused on facilities supporting Russia’s military logistics, including oil infrastructure, which has increasingly been targeted in recent months.
