Armenian court arrests ally of Samvel Karapetyan

An Armenian court has ordered a two-month pre-trial detention for Alik Aleksanyan, one of the key supporters of Samvel Karapetyan, the leader of the Strong Armenia Party.

Axar.az reports that according to Armenian media, Aleksanyan is accused of large-scale money laundering and voter bribery.

Investigators claim that Aleksanyan, as the founder and executive director of the public organization “Own Style”, received around $4.4 million and €230,000 from the Tashir Foundation between October 2025 and March 2026. The funds were allegedly transferred under the labels of donations and loans.
