Two Interpol-wanted drug lords arrested in Turkiye

Two drug lords wanted by Interpol under red notices have been detained in Turkiye.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the suspects were apprehended as part of a coordinated operation involving the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), police units, and Interpol.

It was reported that the Dutch national Sezgin Kamant, wanted by French judicial authorities for international drug trafficking and money laundering, was detained at a hideout in Istanbul. Meanwhile, Swedish citizen Navar Ateyer, also wanted under an Interpol Red Notice, was detained in the Cheame district of Izmir during a separate but related operation.
