Netanyahu says Israel to 'soon' control 70 pct of Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israel would soon expand its control over the Gaza Strip to 70%.

Axar.az reports that Netanyahu made the remarks during a weekly cabinet meeting.

“We currently hold more than 60 percent of the enclave; soon we will reach 70 percent,” he said.

Netanyahu added that Israeli forces were continuing operations against Hamas and targeting the group's senior commanders.
