Iran says final decision on US framework deal not yet made

Iran has not yet reached a final decision on a proposed memorandum of understanding with the United States.

Axar.az reports, citing CNN, the proposal is still being assessed at political, legal, and technical levels, with discussions ongoing among both experts and senior decision-makers.

The framework is still under review, and all implications are being carefully evaluated before any final approval is made.

The update comes amid mixed signals from all sides regarding the timeline for a possible deal. Earlier statements suggested an agreement could be finalized within days, with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif—who has played a mediating role—indicating terms might be completed within 24 hours.

President Donald Trump also suggested that a signing was imminent, saying the agreement was “scheduled to get signed” on Sunday.

However, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has pushed back against that timeline, disputing claims of an imminent signing and criticizing external pressure around the announcement.
