Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has thanked the United Kingdom for its recent action against Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet.”

Axar.az reports that Sybiha, writing on his X account, expressed gratitude to UK Foreign Secretary and Labour MP for Pontefract Yvette Cooper for what he described as Britain’s leadership and decisive action.

"Thank you, dear Yvette Cooper, for the UK's leadership and decisive action.

Russia’s shadow fleet is a tool of war. Every such vessel stopped means less money for Russia’s war machine. Cutting off these revenues helps reduce Russia’s ability to finance missile and drone attacks against Ukrainian cities.

We must continue increasing pressure and closing every loophole that allows Russia to fund its aggression," the statement reads.

It should be noted that British Armed Forces have seized an oil tanker belonging to Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet” in the English Channel.
