Armenia’s ruling party wins 49.7% in parliamentary vote

Armenia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the final results of the parliamentary elections.

Axar.az reports that the CEC said 1,476,769 people took part in the vote.

According to the data, voter turnout stood at 58.9%.

The results show that the Civil Contract Party received 49.7% of the vote. With this result, the party has secured the ability to form the new Armenian government on its own.

The “Strong Armenia” bloc won 23.2%, the “Armenia” bloc 9.9%, and the Prosperous Armenia Party 3.89% of the vote.
