EU adds over 80 names to Russia sanctions list

The European Union has imposed a new round of sanctions against Russia.

Axar.az reports, citing the EU Council, that Russia’s Prosecutor General Aleksandr Gutsan, former ombudsman Pavel Astakhov, and the Russian Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives have been added to the sanctions list.

The updated EU list includes more than 80 individuals and entities from Russia and other countries.

The EU said the sanctions target individuals and organisations supporting the Russian authorities. The list also includes companies and citizens from countries maintaining close ties with Russia.
