Russian frigate fires warning shot at UK-registered yacht

The Russian frigate “Admiral Grigorovich” fired warning shots near a UK-registered yacht in the English Channel.

Axar.az reports, citing BBC, the incident occurred on Tuesday between the Isle of Wight and Normandy.

According to reports, the yacht notified British authorities that the Russian vessel had fired warning shots from a distance of around 500 yards (457 meters).

No injuries or damage to the yacht were reported.

A UK Ministry of Defense spokesperson said: “We are investigating reports of an incident in the Channel.”
