CEC asked to approve Kocharyan prosecution

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia has applied to the Central Election Commission (CEC) for permission to initiate criminal proceedings against former Armenian President and leader of the “Hayastan” bloc, Robert Kocharyan.

Axar.az reports that the information was provided by the CEC.

In addition to Kocharyan, the possibility of initiating criminal proceedings against parliamentary candidates Asatur Kocharyan and Ruslan Barseghyan is also being considered.

According to the report, Ruslan Barseghyan is ranked 62nd on the “Hayastan” bloc’s electoral list, while Asatur Kocharyan is ranked 154th.
