Ukrainian military aircraft crashes in Khmelnytskyi region

A Ukrainian military aircraft crashed on June 16 in the Khmelnytskyi region.

Axar.az reports, citing RBK-Ukraine, the type of aircraft involved in the crash has not yet been specified.

According to local Telegram channels, the aircraft may have been a MiG-29 fighter jet.

The reports said residents first heard the sound of an aircraft and then a loud explosion near Shepetivka.

Both crew members were killed in the crash of a Ukrainian Su-24M bomber aircraft.

This was reported by the country’s Air Force.

The Air Force said that the aircraft belonged to the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade named after Petro Franko and that the pilot and navigator died in the crash.

Earlier reports from some Telegram channels had suggested that a MiG-29 fighter had crashed.
