Ukraine’s Defense Forces said they carried out strikes against a Russian shadow fleet tanker in the Black Sea, as well as military logistics and command facilities supporting Russian operations.
Axar.az reports, citing the General Staff of Ukraine's Telegram channel, the FINA A tanker (IMO 9283306), which is under sanctions by the European Union, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Ukraine, was successfully hit.
“The target was successfully struck. The extent of the damage is being assessed,” the General Staff said.
According to the statement, the tanker had been used to transport crude oil and petroleum products for Russia while circumventing international sanctions. The vessel is 244.6 metres long with a gross tonnage of 62,002.
Ukraine’s military also reported strikes on infrastructure used by Russian forces to move personnel and equipment, including bridges over the North Crimean Canal near Stavky and near Voinka in occupied Kherson Oblast.
Additional targets included Russian command posts in Donetsk Oblast and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control facilities in parts of Ukraine and Russia’s Kursk Oblast.
“The Defence Forces of Ukraine continue to systematically degrade the Russian aggressor’s capability to conduct combat operations against Ukraine,” the General Staff said.
