Leonid Brezhnev's descendant captured in Ukraine -

A great-grandson of Former General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union Leonid Brezhnev has been taken prisoner during Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.

Axar.az reports, citing the Russian media, that 45-year-old Anton Milayev is described as the adopted grandson of Brezhnev’s daughter, Galina Brezhneva, who raised him as her own.

According to the report, he joined the front in autumn 2025 as a combat engineer but stopped contacting his family in November.

It should be noted that his mother, Irina Kuznetsova, said she later learned that he is being held in captivity in Ukraine’s Kherson region, in areas controlled by Ukrainian forces.
