Passengers evacuated after metro derailed in Istanbul

A metro train operating on the Kadikoy–Sabiha Gokcen Airport line derailed at Bostanci Station in Istanbul, Turkiye on Friday evening, June 19.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the cause of the incident has not yet been determined.

Passengers evacuated the train on their own and walked through the tunnel for a short distance. Firefighters, medical teams, and metro personnel were dispatched to the scene, where response efforts are ongoing.
