British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is expected to decide this weekend whether he will remain in office.

Axar.az reports, according to The Times, that despite publicly insisting he intends to stay on as prime minister, Starmer has privately acknowledged to close associates that a significant number of lawmakers from the ruling Labour Party want him to step down.

According to the newspaper, Starmer plans to make a final decision on a possible resignation after consulting with his wife, Victoria Starmer, and other family members over the weekend.

Earlier on Monday, Starmer said he had no intention of voluntarily resigning following Andy Burnham's victory in a by-election for a seat in the House of Commons.
