A person armed with a machete (a large knife with a broad, long blade, mainly used as an agricultural tool — ed.) attacked people in the Russian city of Krasnodar.

Axar.az reports that the incident occurred at an MFC (Multifunctional Center) located inside the Vest Moll shopping center.

According to preliminary information, one person was killed at the scene, while five others sustained injuries of varying severity.

The injured were taken to the hospital by emergency medical teams.

Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene detained the attacker.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
